Lesson of the Week
The boys got a lesson in karma this week. Sunday we had Stephanie and Heather over for a BBQ dinner. Stephanie, who is Heather's girfriend, is pregnant and it was all a little confusing to Tyler and Gavin who kept referring to her as "he" and "him" until I pulled them aside and flat out declared her a girl, no buts about it. Anyway, since they are expecting a boy I was anxious to give them lots of hand-me-down clothes to borrow for their baby. As we pulled the clothes and gear out of the garage, Tyler & Gavin relived their babyhood. Gavin climbed into the way-too-small exersaucer and Tyler held up a pair of baby shoes saying they were way too small for any baby. They kept asking why we were giving them these things. I explained since we didn't need them, we would lend them to our friends. Well just two days later, Ms. Jaclyn at Kindercare gave Tyler a bag full of really nice size 6 and 7 shorts and shirts that belonged to Louie. Tyler looks up to Louie since he's a schoolager and he is really stoked to be wearing his clothes. So when the kids asked why Louie let us borrow his clothes, I explained the whole concept of karma. We let our friends borrow our old clothes, then suddenly Louie let us borrow his. I think they *got it*, but we'll see.
