Lines from his favorite movies
It appears that Tyler has the type of mind or maybe it's brain capacity that memorizes lines from movies and recites them. Me, I see a movie and five minutes later I can tell you a little about it, but I certainly don't remember lines and only barely remember characters. We all know people like this, who will start quoting song lyrics and movie lines at a party. I glaze over as the trivia flies over my head, but Tyler is going to fit right in with this crowd.
Example #1. How many times have we seen Madagascar? 40? 65? Maybe more. It's on a lot in our house. So the other day while the boys were taking a bath, I should have recognized what the heck Tyler was talking about, but I didn't. Out of the blue, he said "Oh great. They forgot to turn the ambience off again." Huh? I made him repeat it, repeatedly. Finally when I asked him what that means he explained with a total 'duh' tone that's what Alex says in Madagascar.
Example #2. Yesterday on Playhouse Disney there were all new episodes of Higglytown Heros. New episodes. That means first time seeing the show. After watching the exciting and new back-to-back shows, Tyler starts reciting the entire Higglytown Heros show, dialog and all. Including the song Twinkle sang while she was skating "Ice dancing, I'm an ice dancer. Skating to my castle can't you see? Ice dancing, I'm and ice dancer. Won't you skate along with me?" That was in the morning. Then at dinner last night, Tyler blurts out "Ha! Mama that was really funny when Wayne said he had to put his shirt back on wasn't it?" Tyler seemed disappointed with my lack of media recall when I asked him to explain what he was talking about. "Don't you remember? On Higglytown Heros. WAYNE mama. It was really funny. And then Twinkle was skating and singing that song. How does it go? Oh yah, Ice dancing...." Yep. Is this a side effect of all the Baby Einstein videos he watched as an infant?
