Artistic Style

Just how we can recognize another person's handwriting as theirs, I can recognize Tyler's art work as his. We have this silly ritual of touring each kids classroom at pick up each day. They show me what they did that day and I look around at the teachers' notes, books they're reading, and projects they're working on. Since it's been too scorching hot to play outside past 10 a.m., they've been doing lots of art projects lately. I saw this one laying in a pile of 12 kid's drawings, and knew it was Tyler's right away. Whether he's drawing a person or an animal, everything has round circles for feet. Last week his favorite thing to draw was lions. This week, it's swimming pools. Like this drawing of Tyler (he's the one with spikey hair on the left) and Mommy swimming in the pool. I asked who that other person was at the bottom, thinking he'd say Gavin but as soon as he said it, I knew it to be true: Nemo.
