So Tyler said his first real swear word the other night. He's been having some bigtime frustration fits lately, usually at the dinner table. This was one such evening where it was just me and the two boys while Daddy was working late. Tyler wasn't getting enough attention from me as I was trying to cook dinner and pick up after them and get them to the table and convince them they do like food other than hotdogs. He was sitting across the table from me, screaming that he "Really really want a hotdog. Please. Puhleeeze. NNnnnnaaaaahhhhhhh DAMMIT!" As soon as it came out of his mouth, the fit was over and all was quiet. I didn't even flinch and just kept right on eating. So did he. Considering all the words he's heard me use it could have been a lot worse.

Tyler is so full of comliments lately. "I like your eyes," or "Oh, I like the paint on your toes." My favorite is his too, "I like your hair." Always lifts me up.

Boy has it been a while...well, since the last time I posted, we've been quite busy and had some great things happen...we took our first trip to Disneyland...and Mack & Owen (and their parents) moved to Elk Grove! Life is definitely different these days. Tyler is infatuated with Buzz Lightyear, although when he had the opportunity to meet Buzz in person, he chose to cry and run away. He is really into Disney in general, really. He's all talk though, when he was there living the moment, he cried on every ride and didn't want to meet any characters other than Mickey. For whatever reason, he was totally cool with Mickey. But not Chip & Dale, not Cinderella ("Who's she?" he asked), not Buzz or any of the other dozens of characters that were there. He also chose to close his eyes and sleep over watching the fireworks. But when you hear him talk about it now, he'll tell you all about the rides, the fireworks, and the characters we saw.
Gramma rode in the car with us all the way there and all the way back. She was a saint. Uncle Mike and Rayanna met us the night before and went to Chuck E Cheese with the So Cal Curts. They were heroes to have such great help. Mary and Conor; Dylan and Christopher met up with us the next day for a slower paced second day at Disneyland. Mom and Dad can't wait to go again. It was so amazing. Disneyland rocks.
These post Disneyland days, we are in the groove of work/school, play, dinner, bath, bed. Some of that works better than others. Play usually consists of one of three things: Watch a video while mommy cooks, go to the playcenter while mommy worksout, or do something with Mack & Owen. All Gavin and Tyler can talk about is Mack & Owen. All day. All night. I met a nice mom of twins the other day and when Tyler introduced himself to her boys, he said "I'm Tyler" and as they introduced themselves to Tyler, he just kept repeating over and over "MackandOwen MackandOwen MackandOwen" it is cute how stoked he is that they live close but he'd prefer they lived in our house, or we in theirs.
